Pretty awesome.

I am not vegan. Nor am I vegetarian. I would love to be vegetarian though. [For a while, I was working on it. I slowly eliminated all meat but chicken from my diet. I was working on that too but never quite made it. /shrug. Maybe someday I will make the change, maybe not.]

But anyways, a friend posted this on facebook the other day and I thought it was badass considering Denton is a few miles away! Definitely going to try a few places now that I know its easily available.

Matt and I tried a 'new' restaurant the other day. Korner Cafe in Lewisville.

It is fucking amazing.

Now, that is hard for me to say. Because I am extremely picky when it comes to a restaurant. Honestly, I might a little over picky. Most servers get on my nerves due to their inability to do the simplest task or their over-attentiveness. It will ruin my WHOLE meal lol, even if the food tastes good.

That being said...fucking amazing. The food is AWESOME and the service is good.
The first visit we both got Korner Chicken. It is this parmesan crusted chicken breast that is on foccacia bread and has a basil mayonnaise sauce. We went back tonight and I ended up being a chicken shit and getting it again, while Matt got the Chicken Parmesan (which was on top of fettucini alfredo with spinach on the side and some red sauce). I completely wanted to knock out Matt and steal his food, but that would have been very un-girlfriendly of me so I refrained.  Needless to say, we will definitely being going back, and who knows, I might grow a set and try something 'weird'.

Anyways, Nom Nom Nom.

I had already taken a few bites when I decided I wanted a pic. 'Oops.'

Matt and I went to the midnight showing of Brave!
It was a completely adorable movie. Can I just say that I want LONGGGG CURLLY FLOWING BRIGHT ORANGE hair like Merida has? So awesome. But considering I have thinning short black hair, that isn't going to happen. lawl. But yeah, if you get the chance, go see it. <3'd it.

This weekend was pretty rad.

Saturday, Matt and I went to Ikea [God that place is awesome, but GOD that place is HUGE. And I know WHY they make you go through the entire thing to get to the warehouse, but WHYYY must they do that? Assholes. (there quite possibly is a shortcut and I've just not figured it out, which would in face make ME the asshole, but I am going to blame them.)] because I wanted shelves for the 'library' [The front sitting room? that I want to have a bunch of book shelves in]. We also decided to get shelves for the living room so we could move the TV. We ended up only getting the living room shelves [Expedit series! wo0t. They are ballin'.] because the other ones were too big for the car. The other ones were also too big as well, but we made it work. [Which meant that I ended up eating the dash on the drive back home lol.] Long story short, after much rearranging and pizza eating on Sunday, we have a completely different looking looking room. So after Ikea, we met up with friends at Razzoo's and last minuted planned to go see Rock Of Ages. Razzoo's = UCKY!  Oh god, the drink we all got was really tasty but uh yeah..not the food. I guess Cajun just isn't my thang. Two of us raced up a hill only to realize that holy hell hills are a bad idea after eating and when you gotta pee, then ate cupcakes at the Mall while waiting for Rock of Ages then on to the movie. Rock of Ages was pretty badass, even though the night before I had commented on how incredibly lame it looked. One of my new favorite quotes now comes from that movie lol. Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, and Russell Brand were hilarious. All in all it was fun hanging out with them. I miss my friends a lot so it is nice that Matt has friends that I like a lot.

[YUCK!!!] Word of advice-- if it looks like throwup, it is bound to taste like throwup. I ate the corn, the bread (It was REALLY good.), and a bite of each other thing. We ended up getting that for free since I didn't eat it.

A new cupcake shop opened up in town last week. Sweet Escape Cupcake.  I was SUPER excited. It is an adorable little shop. All of the decor is white and your eyes are drawn to the cupcakes. It is pretty rad.

The shop had been there for a while, taunting me everytime I passed it in bold red letters -- CUPCAKES. But empty as hell. Apparently, it was a cupcake shop before but the owner decided to head back to the corporate world.

I went in a few days ago and got an Oreo Cupcake for me and a Strawberry Cupcake for Matt. I should have got him a plain white one. He doesn't like anything 'strange' in his cupcakes. lol I ended up liking his more than mine. I can't wait to try other flavors.

A little while back..the owner of this awesome blog held a contest because she wanted to get to 300 subscribers. While she didn't quite make it by her deadline, she still got pretty close. She also sent something to the person who posted the 1000th comment -- that was me bitches! I freakin' love her blog. I stalk it on the regular. She has a bunch of awesome topics  -- Would You Rather? and 5 Words or Less are two of my favorites. I am always excited when I see it has been updated on Bloglovin'. Anyways, I got the package in the mail today and was super excited. Below are the pics. I was completely stoked over the friendship bracelet!

So you should promptly head over and check out Topsy Hair & Havoc...because it rocks socks. :]

My head smells like foot scrub.

My hair has gotten extremely more thin over the past few years.

Apparently, it is very noticeable.

I haven't ever had REALLY thick hair, it just plays that way -- it used to give the illusion of awesome. I don't know what happened. It could be because of stress [had a pretty intense 2 years before I met Matt], my diet [I went on some crazy eating, or lack of eating, diet a year and a half ago where I lost 60 pounds and eliminated all meat but poultry (occasionally I would eat another kind of meat, but I can only recollect about 3 or 4 times). It was stupid considering I gained a significant amount of that weight back. I only ate about 800 calories a day, less if I could get away with it.], insane amounts of hair dye [I love color in my hair, especially hot pink and black.], or quite possibly that my body wants to be the biggest of assholes and I am destined to be bald.

So, I talked to a doctor friend and she suggested that I try Nioxin Hair Treatment, Biotin Vitamin, and Hair, Skin, & Nails Vitamin.

Nioxin Hair Treatment 4 (for noticeably thinning hair! lol)- A M G! It smells like something you would scrub your feet with. Apparently, it is supposed to smell like Mint. I can smell that -- Mint infused chemical barfy-ness. It makes my head tingle, even after I am out of the shower. Hopefully it works, because there has to be some perk to smelling like a foot.

Biotin Vitamin - Not much to say about this really. Its a white capsule that is easy to swallow that I only have to take once a day. Right on!

Hair, Skin, & Nails Vitamin - However, this vitamin, /grumble. I have to take it 3 times a day. Its a big, thick tablet that reminds me of vomit. It smells like baby food though so that isn't terrible.

I know that it may be a little insane, but while standing there letting the stuff soak into my skull for 1 to 3 minutes like the bottle told me to, I was wondering if the little bit that was streaking down my forehead and my eyebrows and face was going to make me turn into a furry unibrowed beast. I guess furry is better than balding though. Maybe?

I get to go to the store later and buy a pill container and seperate all the vitamins I have to take all organized or I will forget to take them. Good thing they are just vitamins and not contraception.

And if he doesn't answer? I simply say...

Seriously missing my spawn. Tomorrow will be weird for me.
The spawn and I's morning ritual consists of me waking them both up, getting the shower on for the boy, making the boys lunch while talking to the girl then getting them to school. Some mornings there is chaos and yelling, other mornings there are silly stories and tons of laughter. I've said before that those two drive me completely batshit but I really miss them insanely.

This weekend was pretty awesome though. Matt and I went and saw two movies. Snow White and the Huntsman which was AWESOME, even though it had Kristen Stewart in it and Men In Black 3, which was really good as well. For Men in Black 3, we did the Dine-In Theatre thing. It was interesting. I don't think I would want to have dinner there again, but the seats were WAY more comfy and the not having to get out of your seat a few times for drink refills was nice. I'd definately do it again, just not the dinner part of it.

I have a lot of Financial Aid stuff to do tomorrow for Culinary Art School.
I officially start July 10th! The day after we get back from Vegas. LOL.

Holy Shit.

What a brutally long day.
Matt dropped the spawn and I off at the airport around 11am today, so that I could take them to their dads for Summer break. I had a really interesting encounter with the DFW restroom and toilet germs that resulted in me going commando ALL day. Stupid bathroom germ paranoia + inability to squat properly.

I had to wait around at O'hare for 6 hours for my flight back home. I accomplished a lot. Yeah, like riding the train to another terminal, reading part of a book, drinking Starbucks, eating a Chicago Style Polish Sausage, and yeah...that is about it really. Why are people so damn chatty at the airport? And creepy. Tons of creepy. /shrug. BUT...O'hare has the coolest public restrooms ever! I haven't ever seen the liner system they have. You wave your hand across the top like you are some god damn potty wizard or something...and a plastic liner wiggles across the seat since practicing safe pottying makes for a happy V.  It was awesome! So awesome in fact that I took a picture. I am sure the chick in the stall next to me thought weird things. I would have if I heard a camera click.
Toilet Germ Protection at a Restroom near you!

Flight from O'hare to DFW included 2 babies who BAWLED the entire way. AND THEN we had to sit on the run way for like 30 minutes with aforementioned screaming babies going at it non stop even more. They were sitting directly behind me too, kicking the fucking shit out of my seat. /GLARE. I kid you not, those poor babies got so many death stares. [I may, or may not, have thought some really bad things because man, you can only take SO much crying/screaming/wailing from kids that aren't your own before you just want to stab some thing.] I finally escape that horrendous torture chamber of an airplane only to have to wait for 2 hours because the road to the airport was shut down and Matt couldn't get through. LOL! Oh well, I am now home.

I cannot believe how much I missed Texas! I guess it is now my new home. I have claimed it.

I am sure tomorrow it will hit me that my babies aren't here and I will bawl a little bit myself. I miss them, just not a lot because of the insane day I had.

In conclusion -
People at airports are interesting to watch.
Don't eat bean burritos when you have a day full of flights. how you squat if you are a girl afraid of toilet germs.
Babies do not need to fly.
Matt-withdrawal sucks. I missed him.
Texas is pretty rad.
I miss my spawn.
